One way of referring to a Sound Horizon fan.
Sound Horizon fans are also called "SHers", "citizens", "travelers", "observers", "gods of fantasy", and occasionally, "Laurant" is used to mean one of the above terms.
There isn't really a strict rule, so they could call themselves whatever they want. Many Laurants seem to enjoy the unique modulation and irregular beat of Sound Horizon songs, as well as the indecipherable CD booklets and gratuitous rhyming. To them, all of this is just part of the Sound Horizon experience. However, we have no way of knowing what truly motivated them into becoming Laurants.
~Common Laurant terms~
Tax payments: Paying taxes to the Sound Horizon Kingdom. In other words...buying Sound Horizon CDs/Blu-rays/DVDs, participating in concerts, purchasing related merchandise and books. Some Laurants even save up day-to-day in preparation for the kingdom's irregular tax seasons.
Homecoming: Returning to the Sound Horizon Kingdom. In other words...participating in concerts, live performances and other related events.
The Imperial Household Agency: The agency responsible for publishing Sound Horizon related information.
Royal Guards: The staff members who work in the Sound Horizon Kingdom. They're often seen wearing robes, but rumors say that robes aren't part of their normal garb. Royal guards sometimes appear on stage during concerts to get all the Laurants riled up. When they wave their flags, something special is about to happen...
Tributes: Gifts for Revo (limited to fan letters and cards no larger than A4, as well as digital messages recorded on CDs/DVDs*). These tributes are accepted at special booths set up outside concert venues.
*Please refer to the official guidelines on the Sound Horizon website for details on what tributes are acceptable at a particular concert or performance.
Message /mesaʒ/: The French pronunciation of the word "message". It was first used in the 5th Story CD Roman and has since found its way into the Sound Horizon Kingdom dialect.
It is used to refer to both fan letters as well as Revo's own messages to the Laurants.
